Privacy policy
Effective May 21, 2026
The short version: Tabu, the app, keeps your saved tabs on your own device. We can't see them. This website collects only the email address you choose to give us, and we use it for one launch announcement. We don't sell or trade your data, and we don't run advertising trackers. The detail is below.
1. Who we are
Tabu is a product of Lemon Consulting Inc. ("we," "us," "Tabu"). This policy covers two things: the website at digitalorganizer.ai, and the Tabu application for Mac, iOS, and supported browsers. Where the two differ, we say so.
Questions about privacy: [email protected].
2. What the app collects
As little as we can. Tabu is built so that your saved tabs and the data about them stay on your device.
- Your saved tabs (the links, titles, and any notes or categories) are stored locally on your Mac or iOS device. They are not sent to our servers.
- The AI that organizes your tabs runs on your device. The content of your tabs is not transmitted to us or to any third-party AI service for that purpose.
- Sync between your own devices, if you turn it on, uses your personal iCloud account. That data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. It moves between your devices through Apple, not through us. We cannot read it.
- Crash and diagnostic reports, if you opt in, are anonymized and contain no saved-tab content. They are off unless you choose to share them.
Because your saved-tab data does not reach us, we cannot access it, sell it, hand it to anyone, or lose it in a breach of our systems. That is a deliberate design choice, not a promise we are asking you to take on faith.
3. What the website collects
The website at digitalorganizer.ai collects only what it needs to function.
- Email address. If you submit the "get notified" form, we store the email address you enter, along with the date and time, so we can tell you when Tabu launches. We store it using Cloudflare's key-value storage. When you submit the form, we send one confirmation email so you know the signup worked. We do not add you to a newsletter or a drip campaign.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically records basic request information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. This is normal for any website and is handled under Cloudflare's privacy terms.
- Privacy-respecting analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It is cookieless, does not track you across other sites, does not fingerprint your device, and only ever produces aggregate counts. We do not build a profile of you, and we run no advertising trackers.
4. How we use what we collect
We use the email address you give us for a single purpose: to send you one message when Tabu is available, plus, at most, a small number of follow-ups directly about that launch. We use server logs to keep the site secure and working. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use it to make decisions about you by automated means.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run Tabu, and only so they can perform that service:
- Cloudflare hosts this website, stores signup emails, and provides the privacy-respecting analytics described above. Cloudflare acts as our processor.
- Resend delivers the single confirmation email we send when you join the launch list. We pass Resend only the address needed to send that message. Resend acts as our processor.
- Apple distributes the app and, if you enable it, provides iCloud sync. Your relationship there is with Apple, under Apple's terms.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Tabu, our users, or the public. If Tabu is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we will tell users before any personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Your data is yours: export and deletion
Within the app, you can export everything you have saved, at any time, in a format other tools can read. There is no charge for this and it is not a premium feature.
For the website: you can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the email address and signup record we hold for you. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You can also unsubscribe from the launch announcement at any time using the link in the message.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU and UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act. These can include the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy of it. Because the app keeps your data on your own device, you already hold and control most of it directly. For anything we hold (your signup email), contact [email protected] to exercise these rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
8. Data retention
We keep signup emails until Tabu launches and the launch announcements are complete, or until you ask us to delete the record, whichever comes first. Server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes and then discarded.
9. Children
Tabu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We protect the limited information we hold using the security controls of our hosting provider, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but the most effective protection here is structural: the app is built so that your sensitive data, your saved tabs, never leaves your device in the first place.
11. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and the limited website data we collect is processed there and in Cloudflare's global network. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will make a clear notice on the website. We will not apply a materially different policy to information already collected without letting you know.
